I hired 2 new drivers and rehired a prior driver to be my test driver. I notice that they now have all had their morale re-set to Terrible(1). At least my test driver had a high morale at the end of last season and I believe the other 2 also had reasonable morale levels before I hired them.
Is it a standard feature to have morale hit rock bottom at the start of a new contract?
They are all assigned to their contract roles (1, 2, Test) in case anyone was going to suggest this as a potential problem area.

not necessary to hit rock bottom... but if you rest them for a couple of weeks then they will be fine..

It takes a couple of weeks if you put them to rest. It did for me. Trust me.

Re-raising this a week later.
After a week of rest, one of my drivers' morale raised one notch from terrible to awful.
McGrath, were you speaking literally when you said it should just take a couple of weeks for morale to come back if they rest?
Also, I just hired some youth drivers, and their morale did not plummet from the pre-hire levels. I think maybe a bug struck my main drivers at the start of the season but I am not sure if this is something for a support ticket or the bug forum.
